Kent Mathews

President & Academic Dean

Dr. Mathews is a native of Kansas City and committed to expanding the Kingdom of God in our community, as well as mentoring workers for the harvest.  He has spent 20 years in business and 20-plus years in professional ministry, including pastoring two medium-size churches in two different denominations.  He is a practitioner skilled in the art of communicating theoretical matters in a practical way.

Dr. Mathews has earned an MA in Art History, an MDiv in Applied Theology and a PhD in Historical Theology.  He is concurrently serving as Distance Professor of Mentoring for Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is Director of its eight-course Mentored Apprenticeship Program.

Matt Patton

Executive Director

Matt Patton completed the Ministry Apprenticeship Program with a Masters in Applied Theology in 2016. His life-changing experience at the Ministry Apprenticheship Program has given him a deep commitment to seeing this unique vision of a Mentoring Focused Seminary available to students in the Region.  He has 7 years of ministry experience with Icthus, REACH, and Midwest Fellowship. He is currently the pastor of a small house church in the Midwest Fellowship network.
